It’s the 7th edition of Mirchi Music Awards Marathi that we joyfully present.

2018 had a variety of releases like a socially relevant film Chumbak, a biopic like Dr. Kashinath Ghanekar, a block buster like Mulshi Pattern, an emotional yet poised Naal, a meaningful Nude, a strong message giver Mauli to name a few. These films reached out to the hearts of the audience, enriched them and so did their songs. Some touched the soul and some made us tap our feet.

So here is a celebration of the film music of 2018, a year that saw a lot of new talent come in the pool of existing stalwarts.

A panel of esteemed judges analyzed and judged a long list of Marathi songs, pondering over many aspects before shortlisting the best and as always the final step of judging was done via a secret ballot handled by the audit firm, Ernst & Young. Suresh Wadkar, the Head of Jury, Ashok Patki, the Chairperson were joined by popular music names like Sameer Samant, Mandar Cholkar, Milind Ingale, Savani Ravindra, Vishwajeet Joshi, Rahul Ranade, Kavita Poudwal, Ashish Keskar, Neha Rajpal, and many others. Besides the jury call, we also have 2 special categories that give you a chance to vote for the Listeners Choice Best Album of the year and Listeners Choice Best Song of the year that you can check in our nomination section.
